Praying for Daylight

Nightfall brings unexpected sorrow
Broken hearts forced to wait 'til the morrow
A million die, two million born
All they want is blessed morn
Their souls are dark, as black as night
Impossibly winning their losing fight

Morning washes away sorrow
Broken hearts no longer wait till the morrow
It kills away all fear born
From desperately wanting this morn
They end life, to never spend another night
Lonely and suffering, praying for daylight
