FEAR

One asked what I feared and I replied:
I fear love; love in its true form,
I fear life; life in its mortal form,
I fear truth; truth in its false form,
I fear death; death in its final form,
I fear those who have drowned;
with no air in their lungs

Why do I fear what I know?
I love, but not truly,
I live, but not in a world I love,
I am true, but not falsely so,
I will die, but only temporarily so,
I have drowned,
but there was air in my lungs

I do not fear what I do not know,
for what I do not know does not exist to me,
for I do not know it.
If I do not know love, I cannot fear love.
If I do not know water,
drowning I cannot
